TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — The Cincinnati Reds drafted Tupelo native and Ole Miss pitcher Mason Morris on Sunday.

The Reds drafted him with the No. 83 pick in the third round.

“I’m incredibly thankful and excited to be drafted by the Cincinnati Reds,” he stated. “This has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I also want to thank Coach Mangrum and the entire Ole Miss staff for everything they’ve done to help me grow this year. Coach Mangrum really pushed me and helped me take my game to another level, and I’m grateful for his belief in me.”

Morris pitched three seasons for the Rebels, including a 5-1 record and 3.29 ERA in 2025.
