QUINCY — Quincy Notre Dame held a two-game softball slam on Saturday morning that saw several standout teams compete at the Backyard.
In the first game, Pittsfield outslugged West Hancock 13-11.
Emma Wombles was the winning pitcher after pitching three innings with five strikeouts, while allowing seven hits, three walks and one earned run.
It was a big day at the plate from Pittsfield’s Josie McClintock, who went 3-for-4 with a double, four RBIs and two runs.
Emma Henry went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Lila Simon went 3-for-4 with a double, triple and two RBIs.
Up next for West Hancock (10-11) is a home game against Quincy Notre Dame (23-4) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Up next for Pittsfield (20-7-1) is a road game against Liberty (19-5) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Quincy Notre Dame ace Caitlin Bunte was on top of her game in the second contest, pitching a one-hit shutout to help the Raiders defeat Pleasant Hill 8-0.
Bunte pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts to earn the win, while going 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs at the plate.
QND shortstop Alyssa Ley went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs.
Raiders center fielder Morgan Winking went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run, while catcher Lauren Miller went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Wolves starting pitcher Ava Wombles went six innings with five strikeouts, while allowing 11 hits, three walks and five earned runs.
Kaitlyn Borrowman had the lone hit for Pleasant Hill.
