Kyle Stowers is on absolute fire.
The Miami Marlins’ All Star went into the break with an incredible performance and nearly equaled it in the first game back.
In the process, he tied Ty Cobb’s exclusive MLB history.

Here’s the basic fact: Stowers hit three home runs in the final game before the break, and he hit two home runs on Friday night in his return to the field.
Overall in those two games, he has eight total hits and 11 RBI.
Only one player in MLB history has gone 8 hits, 5 HR, 11 RBI in a two-game span. That was Ty Cobb, on May 5 and 6 in 1925.

Stowers’ action was made even sweeter because that three-homer game was against the Orioles, the team that traded him and Connor Norby for Trevor Rogers.
With each big swing, Stowers continues to prove he was worth keeping.

And when you can join Cobb in the history books, that’s quite the special stretch in the batter’s box.
