Your weekend is here, Tampa Bay! Here’s a look at the news and what events are going on in the area.

With rain chances decreasing, this weekend will be sunnier and hotter.

With the low pressure moving farther away, our area will have drier air by this weekend.

That drier air will lead to fewer thunderstorms and more sunshine.  So expect hotter afternoons this weekend.

Saturday will start sunny with highs reaching the mid 90s away from the coast. There will only be a 20% coverage of PM thunderstorms.

Sunday will be almost exactly the same with only a 20% chance of a PM thunderstorm.

Beach and boating

Beach conditions will be good this weekend with tons of sunshine and only a small chance of a passing thunderstorm.

Boating conditions will be great this weekend with light winds, abundant sunshine, and only a small chance of a thunderstorm over the open waters.
