The New York Yankees have plenty of needs heading toward the MLB trade deadline.
The Pittsburgh Pirates happen to have a chance to fill a number of those.
According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Yankees are keeping a close eye on Pittsburgh for five players.

Those five potential helpers:
Hayes would be the guy to fill the third base need. The Yankees seemingly would prefer Arizona’s Eugenio Suarez, or maybe Colorado’s Ryan McMahon. But the talented fielder Hayes would still be an upgrade at the hot corner.

Bednar and Santana are both hard-throwing righty relievers.
Keller is an uber-talented righty starter who could be good in the Bronx for years to come.
IKF is a former Yankees utility guy who could fill whatever need there is on a given day.
It’s unlikely the Yanks get all of these guys, but given all these links, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Pirates and Yankees get at least one deal done.
