Live Oak Little League major division softball opened the Western Regional in San Bernardino with two straight wins to advance into the semifinals set for 6 p.m. (PDT) Wednesday on ESPN+ against 2-0 Arizona (Thornydale Little League; Tucson). 

One more win and Live Oak will advance to the regional final as the unbeaten team where it will need to be beaten twice. The finals are set for 5:45 p.m. Friday on ESPN. Should Live Oak advance past the west it will head to Greenville, North Carolina for the Little League softball World Series.

Game 1: Live Oak 15, Utah 1

Charlotte Dudek went all six, striking out 12 while allowing just one run in the 15-1 win. Mackenzie Bole had three RBI, while Sofia Rivera drove home a pair to open the tournament.

Game 2: Live Oak 9, Nevada 0

Dudek struck out 11 in a 4-hit complete-game shutout to aid Live Oak to its second straight win at the Western Regional. Bole, Dudek, Eveya Martinez each had two hits, with Bole driving home a pair against Nevada.
