The arrival of Henriquez signals a roster move is coming soon as the right-hander will likely be activated. The Dodgers reinstated the reliever from the injured list at the end of June, but optioned him to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

In 2024, Henriquez produced a 2.70 ERA with five strikeouts and one save across 3.1 innings pitched. The right-hander made his Major League debut with the Dodgers last September against the San Diego Padres.

This spring, Henriquez was sidelined by a foot injury, which prevented him from starting the season. The right-hander was one of many relievers to begin the year on the IL.

The Dodgers signed the Venezuelan as a free agent in 2018. Henriquez battled injuries for three consecutive seasons, ultimately undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2023.

Once the right-hander returned during the 2024 campaign, he skyrocketed through the Dodgers’ farm system. Henriquez began the year with the Single-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and capped off the season with the big league team, making three appearances.

With OKC this season, Henriquez has a 5.89 ERA with 26 strikeouts and 1.69 WHIP across 18.1 innings pitched.

After spending the last month in the minors, Henriquez is set to make his 2025 debut during a time when the Dodgers desperately need a victory after losing 10 of their last 12 games. Perhaps, the hard-throwing reliever could provide a much-needed boost to the Dodgers bullpen.
