The team has come to terms with their first round pick of the 2025 draft, Gage Wood.

According to Jim Callis of Baseball America, the amount Wood signed for was a bit under the slot value, giving the Phillies some money to play with to sign other draft picks that might require a bit more financial encouragement.
The next question will of course be where Wood begins his season. Will be head to one of the A-ball affiliated, somewhere higher than that, lower than that…
