The Tampa Bay Rays put forth a pitiful performance against the Chicago White Sox earlier this week, dropping two of the three games.

Several players did what they could to try and push the team to victory with Jose Caballero hitting .444 over the three games and Chandler Simpson picking up four stolen bases. But, it wasn’t enough. One player in particular had the highest wRC+ on the team so he will be rewarded as our Player of the Series: Junior Caminero.

Over the three games, Caminero hit .400/.538/.700 and launched his 26th homerun of the season and is now hitting .262/.304/.520, registering a 124 wRC+ and has accrued 2.5 fWAR over 97 games this season. Over a full 162 game season, Caminero would be on pace for 43 HR, just shy of the team record.

The Rays will now move on to face the Cincinnati Reds in a three game series on the road.
