MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAW) – On July 25, 1999, Robin Yount became the first Milwaukee Brewer to be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Yount was drafted by the Brewers in 1973. He made his Major League debut as the Brewers’ starting shortstop on Opening Day in 1974.
Yount was a two-time American League MVP and three-time All-Star. He spent his entire 20-year career in Milwaukee.
Yount played his entire career with the Brewers and was a 3-time All Star and American League MVP twice
