The Twins struggled to match runs on the last place Colorado Rockies Saturday in Denver giving up a 3-0 early lead to lose 10-6.

The game was tied 3-3 through most of five, as Zebby Matthews for the Twins threw four and one third innings in his first start since being injured in June. Brock Stewart got two outs in relief before giving up a two-out, three-run homer to Ezequiel Tovar.

The Twins staged a comeback scoring three runs in the eighth, but the effort was too little too late.

Colorado hit a two-run, two-out homer in the bottom of the eighth making it 10-5 after the Twins left two runners on in the top of the inning. The Twins scored one more in the ninth.

The Twins carried on the Minnesota teams tradition of giving the worst teams in pro sports milestones. The Colorado win over the Twins gave the team their first home series win of the season after nearly 100 games.
