PITTSFIELD — Dave Roy said he and his Rochester, N.H., Babe Ruth team are excited to be in Pittsfield.
“A beautiful ballpark. An historic ballpark,” the manager of the 13-year-olds All-Star team said. “Can’t wait to play some ball with the boys.”
The New Hampshire champions were playing in the second game of Friday’s four-game opening day of the New England 13-year-old tournament, which is being held at Wahconah Park.
“We love hosting in front of our home crowd, but you love going on the road,” Roy said.
