NC State baseball gets No. 2 seed: NCAA Regional schedule, bracket

N.C. State baseball will hit the road for the start of the NCAA Tournament, hoping that road ends with consecutive trips to the College World Series in Omaha.

The No. 2 Wolfpack (33-19) open against No. 3 Stetson (40-20) in the Auburn Regional on Friday, May 30 (2 p.m., ESPN+). No. 1 Auburn (38-18), the No. 4 national seed, and Central Connecticut State (31-15) are on the opposite side of the bracket.

The Auburn Regional is paired with the Conway Regional, which is hosted by the No. 13 national seed Coastal Carolina. Florida is the No. 2 seed in the Conway Regional. The winners of the two regionals will play in the super regional.

N.C. State has six super regional appearances and four College World Series appearances. The Wolfpack has 68-71 record in the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Elliot Avent is in his 36th season with the program.

N.C. State is making its 35th NCAA Tournament appearance. The Wolfpack has a 68-71 record in the postseason, including six super regional appearances and four College World Series berths. State has a 5-7 record in the CWS.

NC State baseball’s performance in ACC

N.C. State finished with a 33-19 record, including a 17-11 record in the ACC. The Wolfpack was one win shy of winning the ACC regular-season championship and was eliminated by Clemson in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.
