Daniel Burciaga – 2.1 IP, 6 H, 6 R (3 ER), 2 BB, 0 K

Starter Daniel Burciaga was knocked around for six runs, chased from the game in the third inning. Three defensive errors by the Padres Brown did not aid the pitching staff, as only three of the six runs allowed by Burciaga were earned. Burciaga allowed two homers in the game, both coming in the third inning. Cristian Navarro notched the first two strikeouts for Padres Brown pitching in the game, but allowed two runs on five hits in 1.2 innings of relief. Randoll Cruz pitched an inning, surrendering three runs on three hits. Jeuris Guzman tossed the final two innings, allowing one unearned run. The Padres Brown’s lineup struggled against Astros pitching, only mustering three base hits all game. Jose Bericoto was the only batter to reach base more than once, drawing a walk and hitting a single in the game. Endy Rios finished 1-for-3 with a single as the team’s DH, and Yonaiker Hernandez finished with an identical stat line. Sebastian Pena drew a walk in the game, and the team finished 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position.
