Arkansas baseball matched a program record this summer with 11 Razorbacks selected in the 2025 MLB Draft.

One of those Hogs is returning to school for his senior season in 2026.

Left-handed pitcher Parker Coil announced on multiple social media accounts that he will go on “one more ride” with Arkansas despite getting drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers earlier this month.

The Brewers selected Coil in the 16th round with the 485th overall pick. He was the last member of Arkansas’ 2025 team to hear his name called in the MLB Draft. Coil wasn’t on many draft boards before a fine junior season.

The lefty from Oklahoma went 3-0 with a 1.27 ERA in 2025, striking out 24 batters in 21â…“ innings. He didn’t overpower hitters, instead pounding the zone and relying on a deceptive three-pitch mix that avoids hard contact. He missed seven weeks during the regular season with a back injury.

Coil’s return is a huge boost for Arkansas, giving Dave Van Horn and pitching coach Matt Hobbs an established left-handed arm out of the bullpen. Other returning lefties for Arkansas are Cole Gibler, Colin Fisher and Hunter Dietz, with Vanderbilt transfer Ethan McElvain joining the program this offseason

Perfect Game ranked as the No. 235 overall prospect and the No. 29 left-handed pitcher in the class of 2022. He made 31 appearances across his first two seasons with the Razorbacks.
