The Burlington Bees (31-21, 19-7) worked a victory against the Johnstown Mill Rats (26-25, 9-16) 5-3 on Monday at Community Field.

It was their sixth straight win, which is their longest winning streak of the season.

The team has also won nine consecutive games at home.

Danny Harris was masterful in the start. The righty went 7.1 innings, letting up three runs while striking out three. He allowed one run through seven full to move to 4-1.

Burlington’s offense scored five runs on six hits and four Rats errors.

The scoring kicked off in the first. With two outs, Cole Yearsley singled. He leads the league in average and on-base percentage.

Kooper Schulte hit a ball into right field, which was dropped out of the air. He reached third and Yearsley scored.

Johnstown tied the game in the third.

Jace Figuereo began the fifth with a hit by pitch. He stole second and moved to third on an error.

Yearsley and Schulte both worked walks. After the second walk, a wild pitch scored one.

Burlington had its big inning in the seventh. Caleb Seibers began it on a walk.

Schulte singled to put the Bees up by two. It was his 45th RBI of the season.

Corey Boyette came up and singled to put runners on the corners.

Owen Nowak singled to score another for his 27th RBI in 19 games.

Kila Teixeira worked a walk and another wild pitch scored Boyette.

Johnstown scored two in the eighth to pull within two. After Harris exited the game, Jack Duncan got two outs to strand a runner.

Braeden Sunken entered in the ninth. He got three straight outs for his seventh save of the season.

Tyler Smith got the loss.
