On Tuesday, the Roswell Invaders hosted their final game of the season against the Tucson Saguaros. This capped off a three-game series.

The Invaders entered this game with a 9-41 record, and the Saguaros entered with a 42-9-1 record. In the first two games of this three-game series, the Saguaros won both matchups with tallies of 6-3 and 15-2.

This game started as a defensive match. Both offenses struggled to score any runs or get any hits. The Saguaros scored the only run in the first seven innings. Once the eighth inning started, the Saguaros offense woke up a bit, as they would score four runs in the next two innings to widen their lead to 5-0. The Invaders would prevent a shutout in the bottom of the ninth, scoring one run, but the Saguaros would win with a 5-1 tally. The Invaders end their season with a 9-42 record, while the Saguaros end with a 43-9-1 record and a playoff berth.

On offense, the Invaders had six hits and were walked five times. Ira Clifton (6) led the team in hits with two. On defense, the Invaders committed four errors. Phillip Sanders (24) was their starting pitcher, and he pitched 8.2 innings, struck out 11 batters, walked three and allowed 10 hits and five runs. He was also the losing pitcher of the game. Manager Garrett Totty stepped in to get the final out, which was against Saguaros Manager Sean McNeill.

For the Saguaros, on offense, they had 10 hits and were walked three times. Logan Meyer (24), Jacob Elizondo (8) and Nate Narccarato (9) all led the team with two hits each. On defense, the Saguaros committed no errors. Narccarato (9) was also the starting pitcher, and he pitched 5.0 innings, struck out eight batters, walking one while allowing four hits and zero runs. He was marked as the winning pitcher of the game. Three other pitchers combined to finish the game on the mound.
