The Chicago Cubs have run into a rough patch as of recently, having a record of 2-5 in their last seven games and losing back-to-back series.
They’re set to open a three-game series against the Miami Marlins on Monday night as they look to get back on track.

Before their game began, the Cubs announced a few roster moves on Monday afternoon.
Chicago made the decision to reinstate relief pitcher Caleb Thielbar from the paternity list and option fellow relief pitcher Gavin Hollowell back to Triple-A Iowa.
It wasn’t a move that Cubs fans were wanting, as many replied with comments saying they wanted No. 1 prospect Matt Shaw to get the call back up to the big leagues.
“This isn’t Matt Shaw or Tyson Miller,” one fan said.
“That is not how Shaw is spelled,” another fan mentioned.
“Okay cool but where is Matt Shaw,” a third fan replied.

Matt Shaw is MLB’s No. 18 prospect and the top prospect for the Chicago Cubs.
The 23-year-old was demoted to Triple-A after starting for the Cubs in their first 18 games of the regular season.
Shaw’s stint in the majors was brief, having a batting average of .172 with a .241 slugging percentage, one home run, three RBIs and striking out 18 times.

Although he struggled and hasn’t seen the major league field since April 14, Cubs fans seem to be ready for the young stud to get a second chance.
Today might not be the day for Matt Shaw, but expect him to get another shot at the big leagues at some point this season.
