The Yuba-Sutter High Wheelers are still winless in August entering today’s road slate against one of the best in the Pioneer Baseball League, Oakland.
Ballers, who reside out of the East Bay region, swept Yuba-Sutter three straight to kick off the month.
Today marks the first of a six-game set in Oakland against the same Ballers team that sits atop the second half standings (13-5) and 50-16 overall.
The High Wheelers have dropped into a three-way tie for sixth in the PBL at 8-10. Marysville’s newest pro baseball team that plays in the 12-team Pioneer Baseball League, needs to make a run in the final two months in order to clinch the final two spots in the PBL playoffs in September.
