The next step in the postseason for Wyoming American Legion Baseball teams is the Northwest Regional Tournaments. This year, the Gillette Roughriders will play in Billings, MT, at the AA Northwest Regional Tournament for Region 7 at Dehler Park. The Lovell Mustangs won the A State Tournament and are in Burley, ID, for the Northwest Class A Regional Tournament (NWCART). Both are eight-team fields in a modified, double-elimination bracket.
The AA Region 7 tournament in Billings is on Aug. 6-10, 2025. Here’s a look at the schedule in Billings. Times are subject to change.
Game 1: Gillette Riders vs. Service (Anchorage, AK) Cougars, 9:30 a.m.
Game 2: Yakima, WA vs. Portland (OR) Post 158, 30 mins after Game 1
Game 3: LB Baseball 18U (Fort Collins, CO) vs. Missoula (MT) Mavericks, 4 p.m.
Game 4: Idaho Falls (ID) Bandits vs. Billings (MT) Royals, (after Opening Ceremonies)
Game 5: Game 1 loser vs. Game 3 loser, 9:30 a.m. – loser-out
Game 6: Game 2 loser vs. Game 4 loser, 30 mins after Game 5 – loser-out
Game 7: Game 1 winner vs. Game 3 winner, 4 p.m.
Game 8: Game 2 winner vs. Game 4 winner, 30 mins after Game 7
Game 9: Game 6 winner vs. Game 7 loser, 9:30 a.m. – loser-out
Game 10: Game 5 winner vs. Game 8 loser, 4 p.m. – loser-out
Game 11: Game 7 winner vs. Game 8 winner, 7 p.m. (winner in the title game)
Pairings for these two games will not match previous opponents against each other, if possible.
Game 12: Game 9 winner vs. Game 11 loser, 4 p.m.
Game 13: Game 10 winner vs. Game 11 winner, 7 p.m.
(Note: If 3 teams remain with one loss after Game 13, the winner of Game 11 will automatically be drawn into Game 14)
Game 14: Regional Championship Game: Game 12 winner vs. Game 13 winner (possibly Game 11 winner), 1 p.m.
Game 15 (If necessary): Game 14 winner vs. Game 14 loser (if 1st loss), 4 p.m.
The winner advances to the American Legion World Series in Shelby, NC, on Aug. 14-19, 2025.
