ATLANTA — The Milwaukee Brewers will be back on free, over-the-air television Tuesday night as they visit the Atlanta Braves. The game will be shown live on Television Wisconsin (Channel 3.2) starting at 6 p.m.
The Brewers continue to hold the title of the best team in baseball, with a 68-44 record. They lead the Chicago Cubs by 3 games for first place in the National League Central.
Atlanta is struggling this season, sitting in fourth in the National League East with a 47-64 record and 14 games out of the final Wild Card spot. The team has just 5 wins since the All-Star break.
The Brew Crew remain undefeated in August after taking down the Braves Monday night and the team has 12 wins since the All-Star break.
Starting for Milwaukee is star righthander Freddy Peralta. He’s looking to bounce back from an uncharacteristically poor outing last week where he allowed 5 runs on 5 hits and 4 walks in a loss to the Cubs.
Taking the bump for the Braves is lefthander Joey Wentz. This will mark his fourth start of the season. He last started on July 30 against the Royals, allowing just 1 hit over 6.2 innings. The Braves spoiled his poor performance, losing 1-0 in 10 innings.
Wentz appeared in relief for the Braves against Milwaukee on June 20, when he was a member of the Twins. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits in 1.1 innings as the Brewers stormed to a 17-6 victory.
First pitch for Tuesday’s game is set for 6:15 p.m. CT.
