Here are highlights from the Detroit Tigers’ 9-4 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday at Comerica Park.

Luke Keaschall got the Twins on the board first with a two-run double, scoring Matt Wallner and Alan Roden in the first inning.

Minnesota made is 3-0 in the second inning when Brooks Lee scored on a wild pitch by Jack Flaherty. But the Tigers responded in the bottom of the second with a solo home run by Spencer Torkelson.

Zach McKinstry homered in the third inning, pulling the Tigers within one, 3-2. Former Tiger Kody Clemens went above the left-field fence and had the ball in his glove but it dropped out when his left arm hit the top of the fence.

Then Kerry Carpenter, also in the third inning, put the Tigers in the lead, 4-3, with a two-run homer to right field, scoring Colt Keith, who had reached on a single.

The Twins bounced right back in the fourth with a 430-foot solo homer by Lee, knotting the game 4-4.

The Twins pulled ahead with a pair of runs in the fifth inning, making it 6-4. Ryan Jeffers doubled to right-center, scoring Wallner, and Keaschall followed with a ground-rule double, bringing Jeffers home.

Austin Martin, also in the fifth, gave the Twins a 7-4 lead with a blast to left …

… and Roden added to the Tigers’ woes with a solo shot of his own, making it 8-4.
