Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Pittsburgh Pirates fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

This year’s deadline was mostly more of the same for the Buccos. Long-standing Pirates David Bednar and Ke’Bryan Hayes were sent packing, along with lefty pitcher Caleb Ferguson, and in return, the Pirates received a group of prospects, some with potential, but with none being top prospects. Where have we heard this story before?

Anyway, this week’s question asked you to grade Ben Cherington’s deadline performance, and I have the results ready for you.

As you can see, the deadline was a huge fail in the fans’ eyes, with 61 percent of you grading it an F, and 90 percent of you grading it a D or F. There was not a single vote (out of hundreds) that gave an A. This was an epically pitiful performance by a franchise that’s been full of pitiful moments for years now.

Thanks for voting. We’ll be back again soon with more Reacts!
