It has been a rough season for the Nats, but it feels like they have some success whenever they head out to the west coast. Hopefully that can continue here in San Francisco. After the last homestand, they desperately need some wins to pick up the vibes.
The Nationals are rolling out a new look lineup tonight. In an attempt to get James Wood going, they are moving him to the leadoff spot where he had some success earlier in the season. That moves CJ Abrams down to the 2 hole. Fellow youngster Brady House will be in the 3 hole. Drew Millas will be behind the plate to catch Jake Irvin.
For the Giants, they have one big addition from the last time these two teams played. After a hot start, they added star Rafael Devers into the fold. Both Devers and the Giants have struggled since the deal. They ended up selling at the deadline. Drew Gilbert was one of the prospects they got at the deadline and he is making his MLB debut tonight. Old friend Dom Smith will also be in the lineup at DH. Matt Gage will be an opener for the Giants tonight.
