A former MLB first baseman is throwing his resort-style Hawaiian estate on the market for $26.9 million.

Dorian “Doe” Boyland, who was part of the Pittsburgh Pirates’ 1979 World Series–winning team, is the seller behind the seven-bedroom, seven-bath property. Located in Maui’s ritzy Kapalua Resort, the home sits between a jungle ravine and the 17th tee of the Kapalua Plantation Course, where the PGA Tour’s Sentry Tournament of Champions takes place. Raymond Chin at Coldwell Banker Island Properties holds the listing.

“It’s been both a family home and a resort-like escape for us,” Boyland tells Robb Report. “Warm and intimate when you want it to be, yet spacious enough to host hundreds of guests without ever feeling crowded.”

The primary bathroom includes tons of vanity space and a marble soaking tub.

Built in 2015 by Ryniak Architects, the abode takes advantage of its Hawaiian setting by emphasizing indoor-outdoor living. Floor-to-ceiling windows and motorized sliding doors allow you to appreciate the surrounding ocean, islands, and fairways from just about every part of the property. The 45,000-gallon negative-edge infinity pool with a 1,200-gallon spa and slide is accompanied by a swim-up sunken bar and covered barbecue lanai. And there are both outdoor showers and tubs for rinsing off after a dip.

The indoor amenities include a game room, an exercise room, and a theater room with comfy movie-theater-style seating. Those who want to work on their swing will appreciate the proximity to the golf course, but there’s also two tee boxes, two greens, and four sand bunkers on the property itself. And when guests are visiting, a private two-bedroom ohana is situated beneath one of the tee boxes.

The 45,000-gallon pool sits next to two putting greens.

The home is being offered furnished (with some exceptions) and includes more than $1 million in custom pieces. Among the appliances are Sub-Zero refrigerators and a Wolf oven in the kitchen, plus Viking indoor and outdoor cooking systems. Finishes like Acadia wood flooring, Supreme Blue Moon marble, and Busby Greystone cabinets are found throughout.

After playing in the MLB for just a couple of years, Boyland went on to operate a series of car dealerships throughout the United States, with Black Enterprise magazine calling him a top auto dealer. He’s also the recipient of an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh.
