CHICAGO — Kyle Manzardo matched a career-high with two home runs, but the White Sox jumped in front with a pair of first-inning homers against Guardians starter Slade Cecconi and dealt Cleveland a 6-4 loss Sunday at Rate Field.
The loss snaps the Guardians’ season-high win streak at five. Coupled with a Tigers win earlier in the day, Cleveland fell to six games behind Detroit in the American League Central Division race but remained a half-game behind the Yankees for the third AL wild card spot.
