Dairyland Baseball Semifinals Set as First Round of Playoffs Conclude

WAUPACA – 8, NAVARINO – 0 

The Waupaca Lakemen advanced to the Dairyland League semi-finals with a dominant 8-0 shutout over the Navarino Rangers on Sunday.The top-seeded Lakemen paired strong pitching with timely hitting to control the game from start to finish.

Seidl earned the win, throwing seven shutout innings while allowing just three hits and striking out 10. Eagan closed the final two innings in relief, striking out five without surrendering a hit.

Offensively, Dayton led the way with three hits, two runs scored, and an RBI. Behm collected two hits and scored twice, while Krcmar drove in two runs on a hit and a walk. Ellie added two RBIs with a two-hit day, and Canterbury, Pankratz, and Popham each contributed RBIs.

For Navarino, Mrazinski, Larson, and Dagneau each tallied one hit. Nompleggi took the loss, allowing five runs over 4.2 innings.

BONDUEL – 7, HOFA PARK – 3

Cooper Camshure’s big day at the plate powered the Bonduel Broncos past the Hofa Park Panthers 7-3 on Sunday, sending Bonduel forward in the Dairyland League Baseball Playoffs. Camshure went 3-for-5 with three singles, driving in a run in the third inning to start the scoring. He also swiped three bases as part of a Broncos offense that stole four on the day.

Race Anvelink matched Camshure with three hits, while Chase Reinke went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs to lead the team in RBIs. Noah Weier helped his own cause with two hits in five trips to the plate.

On the mound, Weier earned the win, working 7 1/3 innings and allowing five hits and three runs while striking out five. Jack Reinke finished it off, tossing 1 2/3 scoreless innings for the save.

The Broncos pounded out 12 hits in the win, using speed and timely hitting to take control and keep their playoff run alive.

PULASKI – 12, CECIL – 2

The Reds stayed hot at the plate, racking up 12 hits in a 12-2, seven-inning playoff win over the Cecil Mudhens. Brandon Black went 2-for-4 with a double, while Jason Infusion led the way with a 3-for-4 performance, also doubling.

Easton Vertz earned the win on the mound, keeping Cecil in check while the Reds’ offense provided plenty of support.
