Ole Miss will welcome two mid-major programs to Oxford for fall baseball exhibitions in October.
The Rebels and Little Rock get together on October 4 at Swayze Field, and Ole Miss hosts Tulane, also at home, on October 18. Division I teams can play other teams on two dates in the fall without it impacting their 56-game spring schedule.
Ole Miss, in its two scrimmages against outside competition last fall, played each in two-six-inning games on those respective days.
The Rebels won 43 games in 2025 and hosted a regional for the first time since 2021, losing to Murray State in the regional championship game.
Ole Miss added eight players out of the transfer portal this summer, comprised of four pitchers, two infielders and two outfielders. The Rebels also get ace Hunter Elliott back for the 2026 season.
Nine UM players were taken in the MLB Draft, and all signed with professional teams. It’s the most Rebels in one Draft since nine were also taken in 2014.
That doesn’t include high school signee Coy James and portal signee Grant Richardson who also signed professional contracts after being picked in the fifth and sixth rounds, respectively.
Little Rock went 27-34 overall and 8-16 in the Ohio Valley. The Trojans won the conference tournament and took eventual national champion LSU to an if-necessary game in the Baton Rouge Regional.Â
Tulane finished 33-25 and went 13-14 in the American Athletic Conference. The Green Wave fell to East Carolina in the AAC Tournament final.
Ole Miss will spend one of its four nonconference weekends in Houston for the Astros Foundation College Classic. The Rebels face Baylor on February 27, Ohio State on February 28 and Coastal Carolina on March 1.
Texas and UTSA are also in the six-team field.
