READING, Pa. (KTRE) – Former Jasper Bulldog John McMillon tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Reading’s 9-2 loss to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies on Saturday.
The 27-year old entered the game in the third inning.
McMillon came into the game with a runner on first, two outs and a five-run deficit. He struck out Wyatt Young to end the inning. McMillon began the fourth inning the same way he ended the third, with a strike out. He forced Carson Benge to ground out before getting Ryan Clifford to go down on strikes for the final out of the frame.
McMillon tossed 1 1/3 innings, allowing no runs on no hits, and striking out three.
The Fightin’ Phils will travel to Hartford, Connecticut, to face the Yard Goats on Tuesday.
