The Twins got the first run of the game in the 2nd inning, thanks to Matt Wallner’s RBI double.

Meanwhile, Twins ace Joe Ryan was going strong until walking Nick Kurtz in the 3rd, followed by a Shea Langeliers homer to give the A’s a 2-1 lead. In the 4th, a single and a double set up a sac-fly for Brett Harris, an RBI single by Luis Urias, and an RBI double for Nick Kurtz. Those 3 runs were all unearned due to a missed catch error by Kody Clemens.

Now down 5-1, Brooks Lee smacked a homer to right center, a solo shot for his 13th round tripper of the year. In the 5th, Pierson Ohl took over for Ryan and tossed a scoreless inning, and stayed in the game until the 9th. Then in the bottom of that inning, Ryan Jeffers lined a solo homer to left, his 9th of the year.

Unfortunately, no more runs would come for the Twins, just a couple 2 out singles in the 8th that led to nothing. The A’s would tack on another run in the 6th, on an RBi single from Brett Harris to make it 6-3, our final score. Tomorrow, Bailey Ober will try to help the Twins bounce back from this one, the game starts at 6:00 PM CDT.
