CHICAGO (WLUK) — The Chicago Cubs paid tribute to Bob Uecker Thursday.

During the seventh-inning stretch of the game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field, the Cubs replayed video of Uecker’s rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”

The video of the longtime Brewers radio announcer was taken during the seventh-inning stretch of a 2011 game.

Guest “conductors” during the seventh-inning stretch are a Wrigley Field tradition dating to 1998, following the death of Cubs broadcaster Harry Caray. Caray customarily led the fans in singing during Cubs home games.

The tribute came three days before the Brewers’ public celebration of life for Uecker, who died in January. Fans going to Sunday’s game at American Family Field are encouraged to be in their seats by 12:15 p.m.
