The Colorado Rockies have officially been eliminated from playoff contention, which means that it’s time for Rockies fans (or what’s left of the dwindling fanbase as they push for a change in ownership) to start looking towards next season. Good news for the fans still standing on Blake Street, the team’s schedule for the 2026 season was released on Tuesday.

The season kicks off on Thursday, March 26, against the Miami Marlins on the road. Rockies fans will have to wait over a week to see their team play the home opener at Coors Field, when they welcome the Philadelphia Phillies to town over the first weekend of April.

Other notable teams coming to Denver include the New York Mets (May 4-6), the Chicago Cubs (June 9-11) and the Boston Red Sox, with old friend Trevor Story (June 22-24). Nolan Arednado and the St. Louis Cardinals will make their way to Coors Field in early September and will be in town over Labor Day weekend (Sept. 4-6). The Seattle Mariners will also be making a visit at the end of the season (Sept. 18-20).

The annual fireworks games will be on July 3 and 4 against the San Francisco Giants. Friday, Sept. 18, will also be a fireworks night when the Mariners are in town.

The Rockies get a change of scenery on one of their road trips, as they get to take on the Athletics in Las Vegas next year instead of their temporary park in Sacramento. The three game series from June 12-14 will be played at Las Vegas Ballpark, home of the Triple-A Las Vegas Aviators. The club’s permanent stadium isn’t slated to be ready for play until the 2028 season

If the Rockies end up being in playoff contention down the stretch, they will have a major test with a six-game road trip against the Yankees and Tigers in early September. It’s probably not going to be a reality, but that series will be a test to how good they are late in the season.
