There’s plenty of baseball to take care of for the Blue Jays for the remainder of the 2025 season and beyond, but Tuesday provided a longer-term look ahead for Canada’s team.

With 30 more games remaining, there’s business to take care of in the present, but the team got a look at what follows with the release of the 2026 MLB schedule. First things first: For the second consecutive season, the Jays will open at home, this time with a three-game series against the Athletics starting on March 26, followed by three more against Colorado – not exactly big-ticket draws in the market.

In fact, the Jays don’t face an American League East opponent until 28 games when the Boston Red Sox come to the Rogers Centre for a three-game series starting on April 26. The most enticing early-season home attraction comes in the second series here when Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers come to town for three starting on April 6.

June will be the busiest month at home – and potentially the most complicated – with a pair of long home stands.  A nine-gamer from June 5 to 14 is followed by a 10-game stretch (the longest of the season) starting on June 22. There are three games on the Jays schedule that clash with World Cup games down the road at BMO Field, including the first game on June 12 that will not only be Canada’s opener in the global spectacle but will go head to head with a Yankees-Blue Jays meeting at the Rogers Centre.

While the Jays prefer to have home contests on the big Canadian summer holidays, the only date they get to fulfill that wish is on Canada Day, a Wednesday July 1 date with the New York Mets. The Jays will be in New York to face the Yankees on Victoria Day, in Houston for the Aug. 1 Civic Holiday and at the Athletics on Labour Day. On the August long weekend, the Jays will be home from Friday to Sunday taking on the St. Louis Cardinals.

For Jays fans who like to hit the road, highlights will be a trip to Chicago’s Wrigley Field (June 19-21) and a back-to-back California odyssey with three in San Francisco (July 6-8) and San Diego (July 10-12).
