LITTLE ROCK — The Glen Rose Beavers had a tough outing on the diamond Monday in Little Rock and battled the LR Central Tigers in a non-conference baseball match-up at Gary Hogan Field on the campus of UALR.

The Beavers sparked in their execution, but the Tigers surged to a 13-0 win in five innings.

The Beavers provided some offense in the frame and tallied five hits. Kellen Wells, Blayden Hall, Paxton Long, Parker Johnson and Jarret Harper each collected a key hit apiece at the plate.

The Tigers scored 13 runs on 10 hits to propel their execution. Despite suffering a shutout defeat, defensively, the Beavers held the Tigers scoreless in the bottom half of the second and fourth innings. On the mound, Glen Rose utilized four pitchers to pitch an inning apiece to provide some heat across the plate against the Tigers’ offense. Wells gave up two hits, six runs and recorded one strikeout and threw 23 strikes, facing 11 batters—Hall gave up five hits, five runs with three of those earned, recorded one strikeout and threw 15 strikes, while facing 10 batters—Weston Stanley allowed three hits, two earned runs and struck out one batter, facing seven batters—Thomas Galloway gave up no hits, no runs or walks and recorded a strikeout and threw six strikes, facing three batters.
