The New York Yankees pulled out a 5-3 victory over the Chicago White Sox in 11 innings on Saturday night, stretching their win streak to a season-high seven games and pulling within two games of first place in the American League East.

After both teams were locked at 2-2 through 10 innings, New York broke through in the 11th. Cody Bellinger put the Yankees ahead with a single before Jazz Chisholm doubled to add insurance. Anthony Volpe later drove in another run with a double, capping a three-run outburst. New York collected six hits in the frame after managing just three through the first 10 innings.

Chicago got one run back in the bottom half, but Camilo Doval closed it out for his first save as a Yankee and 16th overall this season.

Aaron Judge opened the scoring with a 429-foot homer in the fourth, his 42nd of the season. Austin Wells later put the Yankees up 2-1 in the seventh with his 19th home run, a 410-foot shot to right-center. But each time New York took the lead, the White Sox responded, tying the game in both the fifth and seventh innings.

David Bednar played a pivotal role out of the bullpen, tossing two scoreless innings.
