As Major League Baseball rosters expanded from 26 to 28 players September 1st, the Orioles got another back in the mix.
The O’s activated Albert Suarez from the 60-day Injured List with a shoulder injury.
Suarez hasn’t pitched for the Birds since suffering a rotator cuff injury in his first appearance of the season back on March 28th.
Suarez is expected to work as a long-relief option for Orioles and joined the team in San Diego Monday.
Tyler Wells is expected to be activated as well tomorrow and will start against the Padres on Tuesday. Wells hasn’t pitched since April of 2024 following elbow surgery last summer.
