BUFFALO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) –

The Syracuse Mets got back to their winning ways on Wednesday night, defeating Buffalo 10-2 at Sahlen Field.

Francisco Alvarez drilled a grand slam, and 21-year-old Jett Williams also hit a home run, powering the Mets to the win over the Bisons.

Syracuse remains four games back of first-place Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in the second half of the International League standings.

The Mets and Bisons continue their six-game series on Thursday afternoon. First pitch from Sahlen Field is scheduled for 1:05 p.m.
