Sugar Land jumped out to a nice lead early scoring 2 runs in the first on a Meyers RBI single and Whitcomb RBI double. They got another run in the 2nd inning on a Price solo HR. In the 3rd, the offense blew it open scoring 6 runs on a Whitcomb 3 run HR, Price 2 run HR and Matthews RBI single. Fleury got the start and allowed 3 runs over 5.1 innings, with all 3 coming in the 6th inning. OKC picked up 3 more runs in the 7th and one in the 9th but the bullpen held on for the win.

Note: Whitcomb has a .915 OPS this season.

The Hooks got the scoring started in the 5th inning scoring 5 runs on a Williams RBI single, Spence RBI single, Ferreras 2 run single and a Sullivan groundout. Hicks got the start and was dominant striking out 12 over 6 innings allowing just 1 hit and 1 run. The offense added 2 more runs in the 7th inning on a Ferreras RBI double and Sullivan RBI groundout. The pen tossed 3 scoreless as the Hooks won 7-1.

Note: Spence has a .808 OPS in Double-A.

Asheville got on the board in the first inning on a Janek RBI double. They got 2 more runs in the 3rd on a Whitaker RBI single and Schiavone RBI double. Cruz got the start and pitched well allowing 1 unearned run over 5 innings of work. Schiavone added an RBI single in the 5th to extend the lead. In the 8th, Almonte allowed 3 runs as the Hot Rods tied it. Asheville got a run in the top of the 10th but the Hot Rods responded with 2 as Asheville fell 6-5.

Hertzler got the start and allowed 1 run over 2.1 innings. Salem got another run off Baez to make it 2-0. The offense tied things up in the 4th scoring 2 runs on a Vasquez RBI double and a run on an error. In the 6th the Woodpeckers took the lead on a Walker RBI single. Ogando pitched in relief and tossed 4 no-hit innings with 6 strikeouts. The offense blew it open in the 9th scoring 5 runs on a wild pitch, a Daudet RBI single, Vasquez hit by pitch and Vasquez 2 run single. Martich tossed 2 scoreless innings to close it out.
