Diaz only threw eight pitches to four batters against his former team in Los Angeles’ 5-4 win in the second game of a three-game series at Great American Ball Park to earn his first win as a Dodger, in his first-ever appearance against the Reds.
Diaz, a 2023 National League All-Star for the Reds, jogged in from the visiting team’s bullpen to boos from the crowd.
Diaz posted a 3.21 ERA in 196 appearances over 3+ seasons for the Reds, recording 75 saves. He was traded by the Reds to the Dodgers in May for Mike Villani.
