If it wants to defend its conference championship this spring, the Texas baseball team will have to beat some Aggies, Commodores and Volunteers.

On Tuesday, Texas revealed its Southeastern Conference schedule for the 2026 baseball season. Starting in March, the Longhorns will play 30 games against 10 schools from the 16-team conference.

Texas won the SEC title during its league debut in 2025.

Texas won’t play Arkansas, LSU, Georgia, Florida and Kentucky this season. LSU and Arkansas were the SEC’s two representatives at the 2025 College World Series, and LSU is the NCAA’s reigning champion.

Speaking of Schlossnagle, the Longhorns’ second-year coach will return to College Station in April for the first time since he left the Aggies for the Texas job. Schlossnagle led Texas A&M’s baseball program from 2022-24, and his team fell one win shy of a national championship in 2024.
