Coming off a strong 2025 season that saw the Tigers make a run to a Super Regional following a 17-13 record in SEC play, coach Butch Thompson and the Auburn baseball program will face another challenging slate this year with the Southeastern Conference announcing the league slate for the 2026 season on Tuesday. Auburn’s home slate is highlighted by the first-ever trips to Plainsman Park for both Texas and Oklahoma, with the Longhorns coming to Auburn on March 20-22 in the SEC opener at Plainsman Park.

Auburn opens the SEC schedule at Missouri on March 13-15 in what promises to be a cold start to league play for the Tigers. The next weekend will have Texas coming to Plainsman Park before Auburn travels to Alabama in week three for an early matchup with its rival. Auburn gets Arkansas and Kentucky on back-to-back weekends before a road trip to Florida in mid-April. Oklahoma comes to Auburn the last weekend in April before the Tigers hit the road for consecutive trips to Texas A&M and Mississippi State. Auburn wraps up league play with a home series against Georgia on May 14-16.

The full schedule will be released at a later date, but we know the Tigers will be back in Arlington, Texas for the second straight year. Auburn, Florida State, Kansas State, Louisville, Michigan, and Nebraska will participate in the 2026 Amegy Bank College Baseball Series, set to take place Feb. 20-22, 2026, at Globe Life Field. This will mark the second of three consecutive college baseball weekends hosted at the venue, with all three weekends benefiting Shriners Children’s. Matchups and game times will be announced at a later date.
