NEW YORK — Hours after Yankees manager Aaron Boone revealed that he considered sitting Anthony Volpe for José Caballero in Tuesday’s series-opener against the Tigers, Volpe was bombarded with more boos in the Bronx.
They came in the fifth inning of what turned out to be a disastrous 12-2 loss to the Tigers.
