The Guardians ended a 5-game win streak with a loss to the Kansas City Royals, 4-3.
Tim Herrin is no longer good. Maybe he’ll figure it out next season, but you can’t go to him when you can go to Erik Sabrowski… but maybe Cade Smity was down tonight? Anyway, Herrin and Hunter Gassi surrendered a one-run lead and gave the Royals a one-run lead.
Of course, the real issue comes down to offense. The Guardians had 7 hits and 5 walks, but only five runs. Steven Kwan was caught stealing in the third, which was dumb. But, the team has to find a way to push runs across the plate to win.
Brayan Rocchio had 2 hits and a walk. Manzardo also hit a go-ahead homer. Matt Festa was great, again. And Sabrowski.. sore subject for me there.
Time to go get that series win tomorrow.
