Pocola softball locked in once again, shutting out it’s third opponent of the week while winning its second straight LeFlore County Fast-Pitch Tournament championship and eighth in nine years. Even with Allyssa Parker, a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year who won the LCT Fast-Pitch MVP all four years, Pocola remained solid in the pitching circle and in all-around defense.Â
“This team is drama-free and they play with a chip on their shoulders,” Pocola head coach Eddie Combs said. “This program is a lot more than one girl, Allyssa Parker. We’ve got a lot of girls in this program. They work really hard.”
Ana Mills had two RBIs and Kaydence Batt had one in the final. Kyleigh Combs threw six strikeouts in seven innings and was named tournament MVP.Â
