ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The Atlanta Braves will open a three-game series against the Houston Astros on Friday.
Hurston Waldrep, a revelation for the Braves, takes the mound on Friday for the 14th regular season game broadcast by Gray Media in 2025. Opposing him is right-hander Jayden Murray, who is making the first start of his career. He’s thrown 2.1 innings of scoreless ball entering Friday.
The Braves (65-81) are in the home stretch of a forgettable season. The Astros, however, sit at 79-68, good enough for first place in the AL West, just half a game ahead of the Seattle Mariners.
The Braves are one game shy of clinching their first losing season since 2017.
First pitch is at 7:15 p.m.
