Los Angeles Dodgers closing pitcher Blake Treinen made an incredible gesture toward Charlie Kirk during Friday night’s loss to the San Francisco Giants.

The reigning champs suffered a 5-1 defeat to San Fransciso two days after Kirk was fatally shot in Utah, and Treinen paid tribute by having the latter’s name sewn into his cap between two crosses.

The gesture struck a chord with fans, who praised Treinen in the comments.

“As a SF Giants fan, That should be appreciated. Love your “rivals” is something Charlie would say,” said a fan.

“Respect from a Padres fan👍🏻,” another user wrote.

“Like Charlie, he has always put God first!” said a third.

Kirk was killed while making a stop at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, having set out on his America Comeback Tour.

He was struck in the neck by a single bullet and was later pronounced dead.

His alleged killer turned himself in to the authorities on Friday and has been identified as 22-year-old Utah resident Tyler Robinson, whose family is believed to have played a significant role in his surrender after he reportedly confessed.

Kirk, a conservative influencer and the founder of Turning Point USA, was only 31.
