SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Atlanta Braves are jumping into the college football world. Saturday, September 13, saw the team host the inaugural Pork & Pigskin festival at Cool Today Park.
Fans came out and enjoyed a jam packed week three of the college football season at the Atlanta Braves Spring Training home.
The event began with a pregame show that was hosted by several folks with the Braves organization along with ABC7 Sports Director, Xavier McKnight, Chief Meteorologist Bob Harrigan and Good Morning Suncoast anchor Davis Suppes.
An event that helped bring the community together and enjoy a sport that many love. Both the Braves and ABC7 are hopeful that this will take place again in the future.
