Mariners at Royals picks and predictionsPrediction

Mariners 6, Royals 3

PASS.

I like the Mariners (-135) to win comfortably on Tuesday which is why I’m going to take my wager to the run line with the better odds. If you want to play it safe, that’s perfectly fine to take the moneyline.

BET MARINERS -1.5 (+125).

The Mariners look primed to keep their win streak alive Tuesday and push it to 10 straight. Their offense is rolling, hitting .262 as a team over the last 15 days, with contributions coming up and down the lineup. That kind of depth makes them dangerous, as they’re not relying on one or two stars to carry the scoring.

Meanwhile, Kansas City continues to battle inconsistency at the plate. The Royals are hitting just .213 over the past 2 weeks, the third-worst mark in the majors, and their offensive production has slipped near the bottom of the league in multiple categories. Facing a strong Mariners rotation, it’s tough to see them keeping up run for run.

The pitching matchup leans Seattle’s way too. Gilbert has been sharp, giving up just 6 earned runs in his last 4 starts (22 2/3 IP), while Wacha was roughed up for 5 runs when he faced this Mariners lineup earlier in the year.

On top of all that, the Mariners have covered the run line in 7 of their 9 wins during this streak. With hot bats, reliable pitching, and momentum squarely on their side, Seattle is in great position for another multi-run victory.

BET OVER 8.5 (-105).

At first, I thought the Under looked like the move, but the trends say otherwise. The Over has hit in 5 of the last 7 matchups between Seattle and Kansas City, and both teams have been putting up runs lately. The Mariners have gone Over in 3 of their last 4, and the Royals in 3 straight. With these pitchers prone to giving up runs, I’m rolling with the Over on Tuesday.
