Baltimore is actually going for the season series sweep against Chicago, with a 5-0 series lead. The O’s swept the White Sox at the beginning of June back home in their first series. This series has been close though despite the results, with the Orioles beating the White Sox by just one run in three separate games. That includes in Game 2 of this series when Baltimore won 8-7 on Tuesday to win the series. The Orioles will go for their third win in a row after getting swept by the Toronto Blue Jays. Chicago is trying to end a five-game losing streak in the series finale.

The Orioles bullpen nearly spoiled the win for Dean Kremer who went 5.2 innings, only giving up the Teel homer and four hits to improve to 10-10 on the season.
The Orioles will go for the series sweep by starting Tyler Wells, who is 1-0 with a 2.31 ERA in two starts this season. He returned to the rotation in early September after coming back from surgery to repair his ulnar collateral ligament in May 2024. The White Sox will counter with Martin Perez, who is 1-5 with a 3.27 ERA.
