The Yankees will send righty Luis Gil to the mound for the series finale. He’s been excellent since making his season debut in August. Through eight starts he’s 4-1 with a 2.83 ERA. Last time out over the weekend he threw six no-hit innings against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway, but was pulled after 93 pitches.

Gil will be opposed by righty Taj Bradley. In 25 starts this year, Bradley has a 4.88 ERA.

For the Yankees, every game is important with less than two weeks left until the playoffs. They enter Wednesday five games behind the Toronto Blue Jays for first place in the American League East and two games up on the Red Sox for the top AL Wild Card spot.
